The EOF error is another 'gotcha' in VFP. Now whenever I go back and look at old code I spend a lot of time replacing lines like 'replace tablename.fieldname with someval' with 'replace fieldname with someval in tablename'. However , I find it very difficult to actually write code like that. Sometimes I think that making old code work with new versions of VFP does a disservice in the long run to guys like me who are stuck in old ways of doing things.
