Hello, Borislav, and thank you for the reply.
Sameer and I gave this a try, it it seems to be
working. We're using VFP 9 and reading a VFP 6
book :). The book seems to be the only book out
there that actually teaches you how to program in
VFP from the ground up. OTOH, we also have the
"What's New in VFP 9" book, so we're thinking that
this combination (along with the on-line help) should
have us up and running rather quickly. (We hope!)

Thanks to everyone for the responses, and it
wound up being a combination of the suggestions
that got the thing running :). BTW, our boss is
going to give us paid accounts on this site in
the next few days. He tells us that this is the
site for VFP developers.

Another question: I've been thinking about browsing
the Usenet news groups for questions and providing
answers, and I'm wondering if the S/N ratio is still
garbage there? I left in disgust years ago (late 80's)
because of the noise and flame wars. Still the same or
worse? :)
