>You have a great opportunity to jump ahead of your competition, not just catchup. My suggestion is to look at the .Net 3.0 Framework. Use Windows Presentation Foundation for the UI and pattern it after Office 2007. You could have a big jump on the competition. You should also think about moving the data to SQL Server Express to get UniCode support.

By reading other members post. C# has better implementation of generics ( franckly I don't know what it means ), finer control of UI etc. & also VB.net may be killed since MS may not be able to pump the money into VB development when C#, VFP, IronPython etc. is doing so well :)
