Usually you can just use a font that prints a barcode, like 3of9, or code 128.

Some barcodes are free (like 3or9), others are not (like code 128).

Some barcodes only print numbers (like 3or9), others also print characters (like code 128)

Some don't have checksum and validation, like 3or9, others have a checksum character at the end to validate the reading of the code.

So if you only need a very simple number to be scanned by a barcode scanner, download barcode 3or9, install the font, and use that font in the report designer in the format property of the textbox where you show the number.
