For most tasks as others said macros are good to see code needed. In your case however you describe a typical insertdatabase (get data from VFP and format the table). For reports I think it's easiest to create a template in word and use it with mailmerge. Take a look at Files\Classes section for a mailmerge class. Class code also includes getting data from VFP and formatting the table (although was not needed for a mailmerge).
