I found out that if the data is stored on a server, and the client runs W95 with the suspend mode enabled the VFP could generate a Illegal Seek Offset when the client wakes up from the suspend mode.

The error could also occur when you're network connect to the server isn't functioning reliable (e.g. a WAN connection)
