2) are there data volume issues / multi-user license limits built into SQLExpress?

Hi, just as a follow-up on SQL Express 2005...

- Maximum database size is 4 GB

- No limits on number of user connections to the DB....however....

- ...it will only address up to 1 GB of RAM, and will only utilize one CPU. You can install it on larger servers, but it won't use anything beyond 1 CPU/1 GB of memory

MS recently released SQL Server 2005 Express Edition with Advanced Services - which includes Full Text Search, Reporting services, and Management studio Express.
