Everything works (I capture the barcode) until I call the updateScan method, which is a method on a business object that writes the barCode to a table, but it just as easily be writing to a textBox and it would crash, I get something like a "cross thread" error. I have written some code in the text box that captures the error, but that just does not feel right.
