It sure doesn't help losing the keeper with 20 minutes to play. That's an excellent point about it hurting them twice -- once because they had to bring in an untested substitute keeper and again because of the loss of the expected third substitution. They badly needed some offensive spark at the end, had some on their bench, and couldn't bring them in.

Re Crespo and Riquelme, I am sure there are many Argentine fans who were less than thrilled by their play. In big games, the stars are supposed to step up. There were quite a number who did not do so for the losing teams.
