That may well be the driving force, but if so how does one explain that it is the corporations with the money (and the governments they prop up with some of that money though governments have plenty of money themselves) that argue most vociferously against any theory of "global warming" and spend tons of money counteracting any theories that are espoused??? In other words, where's all that money coming from that's driving the "global warming is upon us" scientists when the corporations aren't sending any their way?
