Cultures might matter though:) In our culture it's a sign of 'friendship/respect' to kiss no matter the gender and when I was in US for Devcon (for the first time abroad in my life), seeing folks there, I attempted to do that (just as a matter reflex) and after first it downed on me. Too late:( I still feel ashamed remembering it. Hope nobody got it wrong.
