>Eisenhower warns of the "Miliary Industrial Complex" actually "Military Industry Congressional Complex". This is pretty radical for a republican we believed in building roads and funding healthcare, as it served the needs of defence.
Wow! Good one. And it's gonna dove-tail nicely with a recent
http://www.flightfromdeath.com/becker.htm that I've read and DVD-ed.
Becker's premise is that since we are capable of self-awareness, which includes awareness of our own demise, we have a built in anxiety. We have heretofore gotten away with supporting some kind of belief that we think will make us feel immortal as means of coping with that anxiety about death. Haha, then we "defend our beliefs" to the death. Ironic, huh?
Regardless, this isn't working for us anymore. Our world is too small now. There's nothing more dangerous than a human when they are "certain" about something. When "everone" is in agreement, somebody's gonna get hurt.
