lol! Yes those examples do remind me a bit of Texas! :)

I went to Lackland AFB in San Antonio, for Basic Training in the Air Force. February 12 when I arrived it was 10 F.
April 28th (when I left for Orlando, Florida) it was 110 F. That is when they raise the Red Flag to tell everyone to stay indoors.

Later I was transfered to Good Fellow AFB, in San Angelo. It can get hot in Texas! :)

Besides getting hot in Texas, my wife and I experienced an 80 degree temperature change in less than four hours, one Spring in Texas. We went for a walk in San Angelo, and we were in shirt sleeves. It was 90 F. Then it dropped to 10 F. The local bank said 19 F when we got home, no longer walking but running! :)

A member of our IT department took a job in Las Vegas two weeks ago. Last Friday it was 114 F there.

I have seen eggs fry in a 505 tin can that was left out in the sun, in Janesville, California, where my uncle lived. It took about two minutes on one occasion. Sunnyside up! :) I would collect the chicken eggs and those that were broken I would put into the can. Just add salt and pepper to taste! :)

>>I live near Edmonton (way up north where it's supposed to be cooler) Two days in a row it's +33C here. It's really humid too. The last time it was like this we had an F5 tornado. Someone tell Al Gore to turn down the furnace.
