I would love to see a wide open final. Probably not likely given that both teams are practically unscorred upon the whole tournament, but it would be fun.

That's kinda thinking American, though, isn't it? One of the things I like about soccer (and to a lesser extent hockey) is that there is less scoring, ergo the scores that do happen matter a lot. Even a good chance at a goal is enough to send the stadium into a frenzy. I swear my heart stopped for a few cycles yesterday when ZZ was lining up that PK. (The immediate aftermath is on the front page of the NY Times today -- nice photos).

No more predictions from me. I am just going to enjoy the game on Sunday. It should be fun. The AYSO (youth soccer) national tournament that I am reffing in next week kicks off on Sunday with check-in and so forth, with part of the festivities being a WC finals viewing party.
