I have had this problem myself several times. Actually, I was just scanning the messages for this problem a few days ago. I haven't found a solution, but I've been able to avoid the garbage code by going to the Task Manager and calling an End Task for VFP. It may take a few times, but it will close. Also, I do not choose to save changes to the form when VFP closes. So far, the majority of the time I go back into the form, my latest changes are there without the garbage. (VFP 7, Windows XP Professional)
