The Win32 call to GetAdaptersInfo() will return the adapter ID, along with a bunch of other information. We used to do this for general information but quit because some users encountered C00000FD exceptions when the application was installed on a server and being run from a local workstation via a shortcut to the server (the typical multi-user setup). The application in question is written in VFP7.0.
