>Hi George,
>I butt in (really don't know the meaning but sense) too and would like you to do when I get a question especially regarding API. There is a real timing difference between us and I might have gone after immediately replying a question, might then got back another question and you reply. So the one asking the question doesn't wait for me to return after at least 12 hours (if I would ever have a good reply). You fill in the blank there, right ? I would never get it as you're killing (I don't know the right word) my opportunity. Also I think this would prevent so many branching in a thread (to me it's important for I can hardly follow as branches increase). From now on pls "butt in" any question posted to me (I really learn a lot just sitting and reading your API stuff).

Cetin,

Thank you for the kind words. They're sincerely appreciated. I think that you sense the meaning of "butt in" correctly. Because there's so much to the API, my knowledge of it isn't as extensive as people might think. There are plenty of areas that I know nothing about. I should also point out that there are a number of members of the UT who know as much, perhaps more, than I. Whenever I see my name mentioned as "the person who would know" in this area, I kind of cringe, because not only it might be the case that I don't, but it also doesn't give them the credit they deserve.

Frankly, sometimes I don't understand the problem (the Cannot Find Entry Point... thread, for example). You handled that very nicely. In the second part of it (exception error), I hadn't had the opportunity to respond and still was unsure of exactly the problem. So that's why I didn't jump in until I did.

In this case, the circumstances made me respond as I did. Ed was kind enough to forward to me (via private message) some additional information on a problem that I posted a question about (Error 0?) a week or so ago. I simply felt that I owed him the courtesy of acknowledgement. I'm sure he would have responded as I did to the question (and probably would have not messed up the HTML tags the way I did:-)).

Don't worry, however, I'll "butt in" whenever I feel I've got something constructive to add.
George
