Funny. I read only today about Russia's alcoholicism problem. The govt. tried to get them to reduce the vodka intake by drinking wine. But Russian wine is so bad that people took to spicing it up with corn alcohol, thus negating the whole exercise. The only decent wines are from the ex-satellite states, but the govt. won't import from them because of their western leanings.
