Thanks, that seemed to have worked: "How do I create a handler for a inherited control in VB .NET?"

Finally last night I got a requistion created and a line item, all intialized correctly using your code and objects galore. Now for the the receiver record and updates, etc.

You know, object orientation gives me a headache. It's not that it's really bad, but until you get that code worked out, with all the references that go in front of a variable, say, or where to put global variables, or the syntax in a sub or function, or how to call another form, it can be a pain. But once you've done it once, and all your squiggly lines are gone, you can do it many times after that.

Thanks for your help.
