It is not part of the game of soccer. Figo would have been shown the red card, too, if the referee had been looking or if one of his ARs had alerted him.
It's not that I don't sympathize with ZZ reacting the way he did. He grew up in a rough area, playing pickup football where hard fouls or the wrong words were met with instant retribution. You just don't do that in overtime of the final of the World Cup.
