I found the problem I am having with using the XMLADAPTER is related to the version of MSXML it uses. The XML file I am trying to parse comes from a vendor and it has a large, complex schema.

Apparently, XMLADAPTER is designed to use MSXML 4.0. If I try to load my XML into a DOM using MSXML 4.0 SP2 I get the same error as when I use XMLADAPTER. If I tell it to use MSXML 5.0, I get a different error message. But if I use MSXML 6.0 the XML file loads find and I can navigate it no problem.

It is really annoying that the XMLADAPTER uses version 4.0 of MSXML when 5.0 and 6.0 are readily available. It just doesn't seem that VFP is keeping up with technology quite the way one would expect. Not in this respect anyways.

Is there anyway to tell XMLADAPTER what version of MSXML to use? If there isn't, are there any plans to update XMLADAPTER to use the latest MSXML so it will have a broader compatibility?
