Thanks for your hints. Your pseudocode works well for any Views in the database, but it doesn't resolve the backlinks for each table.
When browsing the Binary Memo fields in Database.dbc, I only found references to the database for the Objecttype View. I still have to manually rename the database through the Project Manager to be able to USE the tables (although now I can access the views which I couldn't do before).
