I don't think it is related to collation, as far as I know, collation affect the index & ordering of the data, whereas the problem is due to decode multibyte data with MSSQL & FOXPRO, so I would think it is related to "character_set_connection and/or character_set_client...

so is there anyway to specific the c_s_connection & c_s_client on creating the remote view or connection string in VFOXPRO?
