Does anyone know how I can find out which printers (HP or not) are backwards compatible with the Laserjet 3P? Becuase of the OS, we can't install a driver for a new printer onto the medical device.

Back home in the office we had some cheap HP laser, somethingtop 6L or so, and on a few of W98 machines the flaky V6 drivers were creating a mess (sometimes to the point of killing the machine into a BSOD), and we just installed the V3 drivers and it all just worked. We probably lost a few bells and whistles that we never used.

Can't you just borrow a newer HP laser to try it out with the same driver?
