Movies? hmmm well Ok....
Peer presure? arn't we mature enough to look beyond peer presure and not judge others?
The self conscience/presure one feels at church is mostly caused by oneself. Religion, particularly Christianity, does have a way of making you see inside yourself. If there are those that judge others, shame on them.
You can contribute anonymously or not contribute at all. Contributing doesn't necessarily mean money. Christianity is not about you, and it's certainly not about how many "good" things you do.

>Serbian orthodox church is far worse in this regard, BTW. They have a price list for their services, but when you ask, they don't show it, they just say "give what you can... nnnn is what most give". Now give less if you dare. And my bet is that the price list says only nnn.
Don't know about. There are stranger things....:)

>>Probably because theology difference between Christianity and Islam is too great. One is based on "God's" grace and forgiveness the other is based on how good the person is.

>It's not just that - can you be a quaker, orthodox and mormon at the same time?
I think you'll find enough common belief in quaker and orthodox and Christianity. But LDS (mormons) are whole another group of animals. :)

>Is it so? Never saw them on TV, nor in movies. And I mean HIGHER. How many of them have a pontifice maxima?
pontifice maxima... is this a Catholic thing?
