Thanks for all the help. What I have discovered is to set buffering to 3 (row) evem with the grids, and build an edit/command form for each table. When a multiuser error gets trapped (1585) the ON ERROR code displays a message, issue tablerevert(.f.)(row) and therefore the next line of code is in the edit form not the control form. I opted not to use the Error method inherent to the form, as one error trap module is enough to maintain.
