Thank you for your reply. I do have SP1 but the problem still exist. I removed all the indexes from the table (to be appended data to), also deleted the CDX and recreated new one, packed the database & validated... thinking it might be crupted but no luck. Finally I used the SPT commands to update the database which worked. I know the problem is with VFP, I tried it on many different machines with a lots of memory, the error still come up.
