I'm not hot about it at all. It's just that what you said does not correspond to any version of reality I know. There is some primal connection between a mother and her children that the husband cannot possibly duplicate. Don't get me wrong, because I consider myself a pretty darned good father (said without ego), but to me the notion that the mother is somewhere off in the background waiting for the father to tell her how to raise the kids is far-fetched, to say the least.
