>But why does everyone only quote what supports their view? Oh. Wait, that's it, isn't it? It supports their view. It's all opinion and supposition. There are so many conflicts in the bible depending on who is speaking, from what time and for what purpose. The only thing anyone can do is pull what they want to out of it and use it to fit what they want it to. I could probably find a biblical reference to dispute/contradict any other reference someone quotes. What's the point? I'm really not asking for a discussion on this; it's more of a rhetorical thing.
I've even heard someone finding the basis for communism there - all people equal etc - and then they said it was after 3rd century or so when the original idea was perverted during the power struggles within.
