>>You have succeeded (once again) in distoring the Biblical view of women. If you really want to know the truth about what the Bible says about women (which I doubt) you can read it here:

>Aslo, from the link above, "When craftily tempted in the Garden of Eden, Eve, rather than seeking Adam's counsel or leadership, took the lead herself" - well, if up to that point they were equal, as the text says, why would there be any need for "counsel" or "leadership"?
I'm saying Alex added his own comments to the verses he listed. Those comments were not correct interpretations of what the passages were saying.
Eve was created as a "helper - suitable for Adam" - see Genesis 2:18. Adam was created first - eve was second. God's design was for Adam to lead and for Eve to follow. They are "equals" in that (quoting from the link) "they were both equally created in the image of God. Neither received more of the image of God than the other. So the Bible begins with the equality of the sexes. As persons, as human beings, as spiritual beings, standing before God, men and women are absolutely equal." As to their roles, they are not equal - the man is to lead in love - the woman is to submit to that leadership.
