My cousin was married to a hick farmer in Ontario, living on the farm he'd been brought up on. I visited several times. After a meal at the table he'd just push his plate away, get up and go about his other business, leaving all the clearing up to "the little woman". We were appalled by this (and I'd fear for my life if I tried it)
