The line Ed P. gave you was correct. "WordPerfect.PerfectScript" is used in 7 and 8.

But, before you go hunting down the problem I would give you this advice: Either switch to MS Word if you want to use OLE Automation, or stick with DDE if you are going to use WP. We use WP and I started some stuff with OLE Automation and it is buggy. Now, actually, this was back in WP 7. I think. I forget exactly when it was, but I think it was 7. Anyways, it was buggy. DDE is not as "clean", but I do a lot of stuff with it: Block protect on variable numbers of paragraphs, table of contents, variable sized charts, all kinds of formatting, and some graphics. The only potential problem would occur if the user switched to the WP session and pressed some keys...but, this is a relatively small price to pay for the advantages that I found with DDE over OLE Automation with WordPerfect.

Take care,
Joe

I've got the DDE working pretty well, but the timing issues are a real pain! Also, is it possible to do OLE automation with WP v6.0? Are the commands the same? I know that they are for DDE.
