Yes indeed, their life should reflect what they preach.
But why is it right that they expect everyone else to do the same?
It is not hypocritical to lead your own life in one way but tolerate others living their own as they (others) see fit. They can even state their views if asked. What I say they can't do is work to IMPOSE their lifestyle on everyone else. That is not "tolerance".
It may even be arguable that their attempts to have their morality IMPOSED has a degree of hipocrisy to it... using certain 'freedoms' to remove many of thse freedoms.
