My above illustrations WERE making light of things ... a bit, but the point I was making was that MEN wrote the bible and, as such, could make of women what they would. I totally know that you treat your wife with the respect she deserves and I was no way saying that you would abuse her. BUT - if the these word-of-God tenets that you hold so dear were written in such a way as above then maybe your cry would be to treat them thus.

IOW adhere closely to the word of God is to do so to that of whoever wrote the Book.
