Awright, CL
D'you know, that one has always beaten the hell out of me. I've experimented with the 2 in the past and the Table option has always proved problematical. Can't make head or tail of what Help has to say, either: "Automatically opens the table specified in the RecordSource property setting." - "Treats the record source as specified" <- (What a cop out - VFP uses "specified" like de Marco bans the verb "Process".
(no doubt someone will be along to explain soon - sit tight)
Don't know why yours was "Table" though, as the default is ALias.
Anyway. Alles Gut jetz?

>>>Very simple form that has a grid of a local table. As I move through the grid, the AfterRowColChange has this:
>>>
>>>
>>>ThisForm.txtName.Value = MyTable.Name
>>>ThisForm.txtName.Refresh
>>>ThisForm.Refresh (just for the hell-of-it)
>>>
>>>
>>>But the value does not change. I'm sure it's simple. Too little sleep, not enough coffee I guess.
