"Forgive them Lord for they know not what they say". It doesn't matter that a bunch of intelligent, rational people ALL gainsay your "beliefs". Now I'm not saying that we should shake you faith in God, but that you should at least consider the irrational parts of your beliefs. I think you could still be at one with God WITHOUT believing all that Adam & Eve rubbish, and women come second. (Incidentally, "Adam & Eve" is used for "Cockney" rhyming slang for "believe")
