>>>My responsibility to lead our family spiritually. To be sure we're attending a good church - that we are having times of family worship - that I am teaching my family in the daily trials that we face. That's primarily where her submission comes into play. It is not her role to lead us spiritually - that is the husband's role. Now, she does teach the children from the Bible and she does pray with them - but under my leadership. If something is found to be lacking in our family's spiritual health, I am the one who accepts and is given the blame.

>Speaking of being chauvinist...that's not what I said nor what I meant...but you seem to keep wanting that to be the case.

Now, she does teach the children from the Bible and she does pray with them - but under my leadership.

Nah, not much!

>Maybe that says something about you???

In what way? Strikes me evrything I've said would point to the opposite, even going to the extent of saying that women are the superior sex and we're only needed for totin' and pokin'.

>>"To be sure we're attending a good church" - That kills me :-) Sorry, dear, about my choice of church last Sunday. It wasn't all that spiritually uplifting, was it. Never mind, I'll ensure we go to a good one next sabbath.

>>How often do you have to make THAT choice? OK, once then you're redundant.

>We've been attending the same church for over 20 year and are very happy there.

That's exactly my point! You don't have to "... be sure we're attending a good church". That decision was made 20 years ago. Your role there now is merely a "machine minder".

>It's a shame you have such a poor view of the church.

That's why I had my kids christened in the High Church of England. I DO hace a low opinion of YOUR church, the way you lot have been brain-washed.
- Whoever said that women are the weaker sex never tried to wrest the bedclothes off one in the middle of the night
- Worry is the interest you pay, in advance, for a loan that you may never need to take out.
