>>>Now that's REALLY interesting...Can you tell me what it means to you to be a Christian? I always presumed that when a person said they were a Christian that they meant the followed the teachings of Christ. It appears you are using it in a different way - just want to know what you mean...

Simple. I CAN discern good from evil. I try to no no harm. I ignore (maybe not all the time) the bits that I find inconvenient, or with which I disagree. OTOH, I can't say I know ALL His Teachings.

OK. If His words were recorded verbatim I can accept the vast majority "Blessed are the .. " Sermon on the Mount - fantastic.

As for that last bit ... don't go back there Howard, I beg you. We've expended gigs of bandwidth arguing that one out!

I also have problems with the Virgin Birth and Jesus' being the corporate son of God aspect (for aren't we ALL children of God, and didn't He more often say "son of Man"?)
- Whoever said that women are the weaker sex never tried to wrest the bedclothes off one in the middle of the night
- Worry is the interest you pay, in advance, for a loan that you may never need to take out.
