>You guys remind me of kids in a school yard picking in someone because he has different beliefs. You stand around and throw jibes and encourage one another with "Hey, good one...."

In my case I had a go at his posting on my own bat, without a group of jocks around me. OTOH, one can't help appreciating a good joke or pun. Howard, if you're putting him up to be the new kid who's different, didn't have to go up to the jocks and start preaching

>Funny you would call someone an idiot for not taking their children to a doctor (BTW Howard never said that)

Nor did Jay say he didn't; on the contarary he said " Oh wait, that's not Howard is it?". I read his point that blind adherence to individual religions' little, shall we say, foibles is a bad thing. If Howard's particular "sect" DID promulgate such lack of action, and he broadcast it on this forum, then he'd deserve all he got.

Is that case a form of J Witness, BTW. I remember a scholl friend, whose mother was a J Witness, and whose grandfather (who lived with them) had a gangrenous growth on his leg. "Why doesn't your mother take him to the doctor?" we'd ask. "'Cos she believes doctors are all out to trick you" said he.

In this case, it's only a minor case of devaluing women (and Howard, you can come back a million times denying that's the case, but you'll only be paying out more of that rope) so we shouldn't really have that much to say, should we?

>Yet you also belittle those of faith who believe abortion is murdering a child.

I know nothing of this on the UT.

Further, I should point out to you that although I've had frustrating arguments in the past with the old dyed-in-the-wool, I've also written him to praise him for his cajonies in taking us all on and sticking to his plough-shares.
- Whoever said that women are the weaker sex never tried to wrest the bedclothes off one in the middle of the night
- Worry is the interest you pay, in advance, for a loan that you may never need to take out.
