Yeah, I come from a family of extremely strong-willed women. (My mother and her sisters had to be strong to survive their childhood.) My husband would never think in terms of allowing or not allowing me to do something. The most important thing we've learned in marriage is to say "I feel strongly about this" or "I don't really care. Do what you want," as is appropriate to the situation.
