>>>>Speaking of kids' TV, what happened to all the cartoons. Saturday morning use to be full of cartoons. Now only Fox network carries them. And then, thay are such poor quality that I would not even allow my cat to watch them in fear it would stunt his mental growth. (He can almost open his own can of cat food.) Even Cartoon Channel and Nickolodean (sp?) seem to consider last years cartoons as classics. Where is Super Chicken when we need him?

>>>My kids watch "Pinky and the Brain"? - that's cool. As for the rest - I just shudder and hot foot through the TV room so's not to see any of it. :-) Don't get Fox network, but UK TV is generally higher quality than over there.

>>>Don't know Super Chicken but my kids are missing out on Yogi, Pixey & Dixey, Deputy Dawg, Snagglepus, and all that lot.

>>Ack! You young kids just don't know good cartooning. Hanna and Barbera were the death of animation. May they burn in ... oh, sorry, I forgot I don't believe in that stuff.

>h you've had a go at me before about the Simpsons, not distinguishing between art and entertainment. We were talking about kids' entertainment.

I remember seeing Disney's Pinocchio, and being absolutely stunned. If you get a good copy of it, at the beginning, watch the strings when Pinocchio moves. The attention to detail is truly astonishing.
