Is there an easy way to customize the XML comment that gets created by VS.NET (e.g. when you hit /// above a method/property)? I usually manually add in a developer tag and one for the created date. I wrote a simple macro a while ago to do this kind of thing, but to be honest it's just not as easy as typing ///.

Why not use Intellisense scripts for that? That should work in XmlComments as easily as anywhere else.

Putting dates into comments seems kind of overkill. Other than the class header maybe with a version change history, but in members I would consider that mostly clutter.

Note with Help Builder you can also edit your Help Topics in the Help Builder editor which is often easier than editing with in the confines of XML Comments.
