My computer is one of the fastest machines here. Print spooling is in use, and the job goes to the queue really fast. It is at the printer where the slowness occurs. Most users do not have the development environment of VFP9. They only have the runtimes installed and the applications they run. Aside from two contractors that come in once or twice a week, I am the only programmer. We are a small company with a tight budget, so development environments are not in high supply, only one for each developer.

I can't put out a version of our software with the version 9 report engine turned on without everyone getting it, so no I can't test it on other machines. Perhaps I will put out such a version, start it up on another machine, leave it running and recompile it with the setting for 7 again. Maybe I can do that. I'll ask my boss.

>OK, but can you try the report on other machines? In other words, are you reasonably sure that every user is going to experience the slow printing, or is it just some machines?
