In the marraige relationship, there is a similar idea going on - but - added to that is the idea of leadership. The husband is the one responible for the spiritual leadership of the family. The wife is to submit to that authority. In the church, the leadership of the church is to be submitted to by the members of that church. They lead, we follow. The set the direction we will go - we follow that lead.
