Oh, I see, the installation program. I had overlooked that detail.
That one uses quite a different technology in VFP 7 and later (compared to version 6), and it doesn't surprise me if there is a size difference. But the size difference you mention looks considerable.
I don't have any experience yet with InstallShield Express (we still use VFP 6 at work, and we distribute the EXE over the network), but you may want to check the following:
1) If InstallShield Express or InstallShield has any options for data compression.
2) What happens if you, yourself, compress the installation program. That may help you in the distribution, especially over e-mail, etc., if the client has a slow connection.
In other cases - like, if you distribute on a CD - there is really not much reason to worry.
