Yes - I guess that's what I was trying to get out of him - what he thought a Christian was.

Here's my take on it...

A Christian is one who admits that he or she is a sinner and that they desire to change their sinful lifestyle and the eternal punishment that it brings (Romans 3:10 and 23). They would trust in what Christ did for sinners on the cross as a way to satisfy God's demand that their sinful actions be punished (Romans 5:8). They would receive Him as the only way to eternal life (John 14:6, Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:12; 6:40). And...they would live their lives under His Lordship - that is they would attempt in all they do to live a life that is in accordance with the pricinples found in the Bible.
