>I'm not an expert but from what I have heard / read the facts on global warming as a phenomenon (and the related global dimming) are there. What is in dispute, I understand, is the causes of global warming, not whether it's actually getting hotter or not. And the causes of global dimming are apparently not in dispute and are directly correlated to pollution and corroborated by several independent studies using different techniques.

I'm neither an expert as well, but from what I've learned / read / heard, it is unclear what the major cause of global warming is. Is it a natural cause? How much is the human contribution. Is there a timelag. If so how much?

I agree that Co2 is causing the greenhouse effect, but where does the majority Co2 come from. I certainly agree that we should keep our environment clean and oppose to the US "stick head in sand and not burden our economy" strategy, but I'm also consious that environmental organisations tend to mislead the public on the significance (E.g. brent spar/Green peace incident). I'm also aware that the alternatives to the polution often are not clean / practical either.

So yes, I oppose some leftish organisation of not beeing honest/clear and not offering a viable alternative (They can propose to use windmills, but it seems we have to have a windmill on each acre to make it work, with huge maintenance costs and no power when there is no wind). With this there are other leftish groups oposing the others (e.g. windmill landshape polution argument).

But all in all, I'm concerned about human polution and its effect to global warming, because I'm not naive. If that makes me leftish in the eyes of other, so be it...
