Absolutely! I'm well aware that many will disagree.
I do not treat them as an equal. In general, I would try to treat them better than what I would want. So, as to our equality, I attempt to treat them as more important than myself. Of course, I'm not perfect and will fail in that at times - but - my intent is to show preference to others - even people who reject what I believe.
While I do love them, I do not love them in the same way I would love a fellow Christian. There is a bond that Christians have that would be stronger than I would have with a non-Christian. I do respect them and will not belittle them for rejecting what I believe.
