That is a viewpoint, as it is totally subjective on how to save your soul. Many different religions and diffferent flavours of the same religion have different viewpoints on how to save your soul. Personally I think the only way to save your soul is to live in peace with your self (soul). whether or not using 'religion' is not a factor IMO, though religion could be a guideline, safety net or help in these cases. OTOH, religion is no guarrantee to save your soul, if you don't live in peace.
