>In addition, I'd like the application to still work, even if the internet connection is unavailable.
The Citrix method is dependant on the connection. (if my ISP is down, it'll shut my business)
>I'm thinking of designing a new (maybe less work, too) method to sync up tables to a HQ server. I could still work with VFP tables that way, as well.

>>That's not necessarily the case. If the application was designed using local views, adding remote views is fairly easy.

>>As for Citrix, if the installation is in place and established, then things become easier, but a high majority of Citrix issues arise from it not being installed properly.

>>There could also be business decisions. Citrix is expensive. If SQL Server Express will handle the needs, then there is virtually no cost.

>>>it takes a while(a long while) to move from VFP tabels to sql server
>>>the easiest way is run your VFP on termianl server or cirtix.
>>>It runs and its very fast as long as the mashines are powerfull and have a lot of memory. I citrx you can eaven use a cluster of maschines easyly.
>>>we do this with some locations over DSL
>>>no prolblem
>>>dirk
